About the Book: Matrix Attack on Alexei
The story begins with Len, a brilliant mind from the Netherlands.
He moves to London, loses his job and is imprisoned for theft.
He realises the unpredictable nature of life.
How quickly things can change, how easily one can lose their way of doing the right thing. As he looks to the future, Len clings to a glimmer of hope, a belief that redemption is possible even in the darkest of times.
Through his struggles and trials, he decides to carve a new path for himself.

Then the story takes on a new turn with Alexei. who is a graduate and jobless. Alexei faces countless rejections in job interviews until he convinces a CEO who interviewed him to give him a chance. His love for cooking takes him on a path to success as he rises to be the Head Chef of a prestigious restaurant. Everything was going well until he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and relieved from his duties as Head Chef. He manages to push through and invest in a company he founded. It is interesting to note the different stages he underwent to get back on his feet again.

Alexei writes about his best friend, Charly. They do drugs until Charly realises the effects of substance abuse and helps Alexie overcome his addiction. Alexei finds love with Zoey who he befriends online. He is happy that his life has turned for the better as he found in her a support and soulmate.

In a sudden twist of fate, Alexei who has found success and love dies.
He succumbs to a heart attack. However, he has left his legacy behind for his friends and family.

Shobana's Note: In part, Jasmin has written the story to be a heartfelt one.
The book comes across in parts as a personal account of tragedy and upliftment in the face of tragic circumstances.
What is narrated is very real in a world where there is much travesty and pain. The stories are written well.
